We consolidated our lead in TCR Eastern Europe with double podium finishes at the Slovakia Ring

The second half of the TCR Eastern Europe season kicked off at the Slovakia Ring. Our drivers secured two double podium finishes, consolidating our lead in the team championship, while both drivers comfortably hold second and third place in the drivers' standings.

Qualifying on the longest track of this year's calendar did not go as planned this time, and we narrowly missed out on a front row start. Martin Kadlečík and Bartosz Groszek's Audis started from third and fourth place.

After the start of the first race, Martin dropped to fourth place, but a change in setup ultimately paid off and he quickly caught up. By the end of the first lap, he was already in second place. Bartosz was right behind him the entire race, and they finished in a well deserved second and third place.

The second race was a bit more challenging. The starting grid was reversed by eight positions, so Martin started from seventh and Bartosz from sixth place. Both had an excellent start and jumped ahead of the rest of the field. Martin took the lead in the race by the third corner. Bartosz was unlucky and couldn't avoid contact in the first corner. The front of his car took a hit, which caused the damaged steering wheel and loss of one position. Nevertheless, he didn't give up, managed to win the third position back and thanks to Martin’s second place, we scored a double podium once again.

Radim Adámek and Petr Čížek once again competed in the GT Cup endurance race. They qualified in fourth place in their category. Petr started the first stint and fought his way up to second place. Unfortunately, he went off the track and lost his hard-won position. After pit stops, Radim was in third place, but unfortunately had to retire the car due to damaged bearing in the left rear wheel.

After a successful weekend, we will head home in less than two weeks to the Masaryk Circuit in Brno, which will host the penultimate round of the TCR Eastern Europe and GT Cup Series championships.
